Thank you Khaled, I’m signing up and supporting your excellent and tireless work. Your frustration is palpable, and depicts how many of us in the diaspora feel. Keep going and don’t be disheartened, the pendulum eventually swings the other way, and your truth (and recognition for it) is crucial for this change.
Not to mention mainstream liberal synagogues focusing on “antiracism” and ignoring the antisemitism taking over that movement FOR YEARS. It was only on October 8th that some seemed to wake up to the threat. Others doubled down on their Pro-Hamas rhetoric. For example, a conservative synagogue in Denver says the Kaddish for Palestinians. Mind-blowing. Their answer for the kids of their congregations facing antisemitic attacks in college? “Here’s how to defend Israel.” Honey, these people want us dead— why are we trying to reason with them? Instead they should be supporting the kids’ lawsuits or sending them to Israel to study.
I keep trying to figure out why we were caught so off guard by the propaganda war, and while there are several causes, one I keep returning to is this notion that “if I’m doing the nice/right thing, why would I need to spread it like propaganda?” As though we live in a world where the truth matters.
Add a certain “United Jewish Apparatus” to the list. Their “Prioritizing pro-Israel advocacy” isn’t a priority, they consider it an afterthought, when it should be THE ONLY priority… funding a plethora of unrelated charities has earned Jews ZERO credibility. Every single university advocating for the destruction of Israel has Jewish donors names slapped on every possible corner, forget quid pro quo, consider what kind of message it sends that we are funding our enemies…
I'm not Jewish but feel for the Jews and pray that the hostages are returned and that Hamas is finally defeated. Even though certain governments are deserting Israel I honestly believe that the majority of the people support what Netanyahu is doing and I ask God to not forsake you.
Repellent to talent!! Yes!! Interviewed me and sooo many talented people I know, dragged us in circles, and said “never mind we don’t need anyone!” 🫠🫠🫠🫠
Thank you for writing this. I just signed up. I’ve been saying we’re our own worst enemy and I’m relieved someone is saying it better than I ever could.
So on point. Yes despite the myths, Jewish organizations are neither organized nor efficient nor coherent. For decades of relative complacency it devolved into basically milking Rolodex of elderly rich donors year into year and avoiding anything of substance…. Now as external agenda is threatening , instead of working on a response they’re busy trading influence with some special interests who definitely don’t have anything good in mind for the long term … it’s not a good place
Thank you for saying out loud what so many Jews have felt since October 7th. Grassroots organizations, made up of volunteers, have done more to move the needle than any mainstream Jewish organizations. How can Jewish orgs gain trust and credibility again? They could start by removing all DEI departments and ridding their mission of divisive ideological nonsense. Jewish values at the core leads to Jewish pride and Jewish strength.
100 percent correct…the ADL spent time and money attacking David Horowitz and Pamela Geller instead of Antifa and Black Lives Matter!

Thanks very much, Gita. It means a lot!

The harsh truth
Sending this everywhere
We are indeed losing the PR war
They have us beat with numbers but we are smart enough to work around that
As King Solomon told us
בתחבולות תעשה מלחמה - we must outsmart them

Been screaming this for 20 months!!!
Been screaming this for 6 years!!
Thank you 🙏🏽

LOVE YOU KHALED!!!
Great piece. Also, you missed Hillel as one of the disappointing, mainstream organizations.

Great Post. Thank you Khaled. I'd like to hear more about some of your plans for PR that were refused by the mainstream organizations.
Brilliant and clear analysis as always. I relate to your frustration, achi!
